Radiant barriers in the attic -vs- adding more insulation

Postby EnergyMan » Fri May 22, 2009 5:44 pm

I've recently been contacted by a company that wants me to sell their radiant barriers. I believe the product is a helpful item and I will very likely take them up on their offer, however, when writing up ad copy and such, I'm not sure whether I should define it as an alternative to adding more insulation or define it as the cherry you place on top of a new layer of insulation.

I'd like some feedback from anyone who either installs radiant barriers or has it installed in their home. Thanks.

Hi there! This is a topic I would also love to discuss here. Personally, I''m into foam insulation.
